I’m playing an on-line concert tonight at the A Sea Of Islands-festival with the music from my latest recording Elektrisk Guitar. The concert will be well over half an hour and can be seen (tonight 3rd of July) between 20.30 and midnight (follow the link below to Theaterformens homepage, scroll down and find Rolf Hansen) I hope you will enjoy!
“Sein Stil ist von großer Klarheit und künstlerischer Reife gezeichnet, seine Kompositionen bleiben trotz Lust am Experiment in jedem Moment melodisch zugänglich und emotional offen, und das gesamte Album wird von einer souveränen Eigenständigkeit und Wärme getragen, zu der man gerade im anstehenden Herbst und Winter sehr gerne immer wieder zurückkehren wird.” (5/6)

I’m very happy to announce that I finally have a new album coming out on 27th of September 2019.
The album – which is called Elektrisk Guitar – will be released under my own name, Rolf Hansen, and not Il Tempo Gigante. It’s an exploration of the electric guitar as a solo instrument and contains 13 pieces wich are a kind of songs without words. Half of the album is arranged for one guitar only, and the other half for respectively 2, 3, and 4 guitars. I’ve been given the chance to be able to release this material on the Berlin label Karaoke Kalk for which I feel very grateful. I’m very happy with – and proud of – these new recordings and I’m so looking forward to sharing them with all of you in September.

On the May-tour in Europe some people asked where to get hold of Watch It Watch on vinyl. It is now for sale via UK based Norman Records. Here’s what they say about it:
“Yet to perform in the UK, Il Tempo Gigante has gained a reputation for putting on an impressive live show. Shying away from traditional song structures, ‘Watch It Watch’ is an intricately handmade, understated and utterly engaging album of hypnotic compositions which draw the listener into it’s unusual world through various, compelling movements that have an instinctive, spontaneous feel to them.”
